Tower Hand /Tower Technician

About the Role
At Crossroads Services Inc. (CSI), we’re building the backbone of America’s wireless infrastructure. As a Tower Hand / Tower Technician, you’ll assist in the erection, construction, and maintenance of cellular towers — ensuring safety, precision, and quality in every build. This position involves hands-on work at elevated heights (up to 300+ feet), using industry-standard tools and rigging techniques to install antennas, coax, fiber, and other critical telecommunications components.
Key Responsibilities
Climb and perform work on towers and structures up to 300+ ft.
Install, replace, and repair antennas, lines, RRUs, mounts, and related telecom hardware.
Safely perform rigging, hoisting, landing, and fastening operations.
Run coax, fiber, or hybrid cables; install connectors, ground kits, and weatherproofing.
Align antennas to specified azimuths and mechanical tilts.
Assist in testing when required (sweep, PIM, and fiber testing).
Perform daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and pre-task safety planning.
Maintain and operate company tools, vehicles, and equipment properly.
Document completed work, including photo packages and close-out materials.
Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to maintain a positive, respectful, and efficient team environment on and off the tower.
Follow all Crossroads Services and OSHA safety standards to maintain a zero-injury environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Ability to climb and work at heights up to 300+ ft for extended periods.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and working in all weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
Must pass background and drug screening.
Willingness to travel and work long or unpredictable hours.
Experience in tower, telecom, civil, or electrical construction preferred.
Familiarity with rigging, coax installation, grounding, and weatherproofing techniques.
Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications (not required)
OSHA 10/30, Authorized or Competent Climber/Rescuer, First Aid/CPR, RF Awareness, Rigging & Signal Person, Capstan Winch, PIM/Sweep, or Fiber Testing, Hazard Communication, LOTO, NWSA, GC Academy and Bloodborne Pathogens.
Physical Demands
Must be able to routinely bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift heavy loads.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind.
Requires the ability to pull personal body weight plus equipment repeatedly.
Work may occur near moving mechanical parts or energized electrical components.
